YES, I have been a slacker!

Gosh I cant believe it has almost been a month since I have blogged...things have just been crazy busy for us and time gets away!  Quite a few fun things have happened in the last week that I definitely do not want to forget about blogging about!

Our lil guy sat up by himself for the first time..he is still a bit wobbily but is doing so good! (October 9th)

Then we decided that with Tal that I was going to try and make all his baby food...even though of course everyone wants to doubt me and think that I cant do it or wont keep up with it:)  Once again Im going to prove that I will continue to make it...I might be a slacker in a lot of things but when it comes to my baby boy I will do whatever I have to to make sure he gets the best possible thing for him...so I WILL BE MAKING HIS BABY FOOD:)  I went to a dear friend of mine Missy Jacobs house and she taught me how to make baby food and we made Tal's first batch that is supposed to last about 3 months...yep I dont think it is going to last that long cause our lil chunk absolutely loves this baby food and is doing so good with it!

So...Tal ate his first baby food (acorn squash) on October 13th and loved loved it, then he ate sweet potatoes and I think liked that even more, then we tried avocado.....I love trying all these new foods with him and seeing how he does!  We both think that we have a lil issue on our hand...our kid is going to make us go BROKE in no time when it comes to food, the kid loves to eat!!!!

THEN.....on Saturday (October 20th), Talmadge cut his first tooth......Im not sure if I wanted to cry or cheer with excitement cause I know that maybe finally he will start feeling a little better...he hasnt been awful but you can just tell he hasnt felt good the last couple of weeks!  I still cant get over how fast our lil guy is growing...in just 2 days he will be 5months, Im really ready for the time to slow down!  I truly couldnt have asked for a better baby...he is such a great kid and one of the happiest babies that I know!  God blessed Frankie and I so much and we are so thankful for it everyday...this little boy just melts our hearts!!!

Tal is 4 months and his newest friend arrives;)

What a great day yesterday was... Our little angel turned 4 months and our dear friends Kainan and Amy Brown welcomed there lil angel Wesley into the world! We are so excited to meet lil Wesley and for him and Talmadge to meet as we just know they will be best little buddies;). We are so blessed and thankful for our neighborhood friends as we all spend so much time together and consider them more like family than friends...there is nothing better than our time spent in the cul de sac making memories, and now we are so excited to add one more lil guy to our Peyton Drive family!

First Time Eating Cereal

What an exciting day we had yesterday... We finally got to try cereal!! Talmadge definitely wasn't as big of a fan of his cereal as we thought he would be! Im hoping its cause he had slept thru a feeding and was a little on the hungry side and the cereal just wasn't going in fast enough! Hopefully tonights try at cereal will be a little better;)

My first time at church!!

We had a great day visiting a new church yesterday with our amazing Aunt Bizzle and our dear neighbors The Browns! It is so important to me to raise Talmadge in a church and we look forward to finding our forever church;).

Tummy Time

Days like this make me so happy... He usually hates tummy time with a passion but he is starting to do so much better!

My Best Friend, My Mom, OUR NeNe!

When I speak of my mom its so hard to put into words how much I care about and love this woman... My mom truly is the most amazing woman that I know! In 33 years she has taught me so much and showed me so much love... But most of all she has taught me to be compassionate, independent and above all a strong person! Eleven years ago when my daddy went to heaven I will never forget sitting on the back porch with my brother as we were both completely heart broken and still in shock and looking at each other and saying what are we gonna do how is mom gonna make it without dad... Since that day she has showed us all how strong she is and overcome so much... I look up to my mom like no other! Not many people can say there mom is there best friend but I'm lucky enough to call mine not only mom but my best friend! Not only is my mom an amazing mother she is a beyond phenomenal NeNe... My son loves her like no other and his face lights up the moment he puts his eyes on her.. Since day one he has always been so comfortable and relaxed when in his NeNes arms...i cant wait to see there relationship grow even more the older he gets!
Mom we love you soooo much and thank God everyday for you!

The day I married My BEST FRIEND!!!

Never in a million years did I think that I was literally going to marry one of my best friends that I have had for the last ten years...but on May 28, 2011 God had something totally different planned for me and I actually married my BEST FRIEND, we have been thru so much together in all the years and I truly couldnt be happier the path that God chose for me.  I truly believe that God knows just what he is doing with who he puts in your life and who he chooses you to spend the rest of your life with!  Frankie and I always have the best time together and truly do enjoy being around each other...its been such a fun and great first year and I cant wait to see what all God has planned for us in all the years to come!
